At Student Paradise, we collect and process only the minimum personal data necessary to operate our service. This typically includes information you submit for listings, enquiry/contact forms, and basic account details. We do not sell your data.

Data we collect

Information you provide directly (e.g. listing details, messages you send via our forms, and account information if you create one). We also keep routine technical logs needed to run a secure and reliable website.

Contacting a landlord

When you use a public landlord page to send an enquiry, the name, reply email address, subject and message you provide are emailed to that landlord so they can answer you. The landlord’s email address is not displayed on the website. Please do not include passwords, payment-card details or other secret information in a message.

Shared account access

An account holder may add additional sign-in email addresses for trusted people who need to use the same account. Each additional address must be confirmed from its own mailbox. Once confirmed, it can access the same roles and account information, including relevant properties, enquiries, campaigns and billing records. Removing an additional address prevents future sign-ins and signs out its existing account sessions. The primary email address cannot be removed.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep forms, security controls and sign-in working. Our own website statistics use aggregate page counters only. They do not set an analytics cookie or store an IP address, browser identifier, query string, exact referring URL or full browser description. Aggregate counters are retained for up to 400 days.

When you are signed out and choose a city, we also remember that city on the same browser for up to one year so you do not have to select it again for every search. It is used only to preselect the search city, can be replaced by choosing another city, and can be removed using the “Forget saved city” button on the homepage. When you are signed in, the favourite city saved in your student or landlord account takes priority.

Advertising and advertiser accounts

Student Paradise may display clearly labelled direct adverts selected using the page or city being viewed and a broad audience category. Direct advertisers receive only administrator-enabled aggregate campaign figures. They do not receive names, email addresses, enquiry contents, precise locations, raw visitor tokens, raw IP addresses or individual browsing histories, and Student Paradise does not sell student information to advertisers.

If Admin enables Google AdSense fallback delivery, Google's certified consent platform gives visitors in the UK, EEA and Switzerland clear choices to consent, refuse or manage advertising settings. Google applies those choices before serving applicable advertising. Refusing does not affect property search or account features, and direct Student Paradise adverts continue to use our own system.

Advertiser accounts store business identity, contact and billing information, an optional business logo and contact profile photo, campaign content, moderation history, aggregate delivery figures and Stripe payment references. Profile images remain controlled by the advertiser and are used only to identify the business or its main contact on Student Paradise services. Student Paradise stores no payment-card number. Financial and audit records may be retained where the law requires it.

Your choices

You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it at any time using our Contact & Support form. We will respond promptly and, for deletion requests, remove your data from our systems within 30 days.
