Advertising help
What each page does, what is saved and what can go live.
The simple version
First create an advert. This is the reusable design: its wording, link, button and artwork. Then create a campaign when you want to choose positions, cities, audience and dates. Saving either one does not publish it or take payment.
Create the design first
You can do this even when no positions are open and before any payment arrangement exists.
Draft advert
A private name is enough to save it. Return later to add missing words or artwork.
Ready advert
Has a headline, description, secure destination address and at least one artwork shape. It can now be selected in a campaign.
Duplicate
Makes an independent copy, useful for a new offer or a small variation.
Remove
Hides it from your library. Existing campaigns keep their own saved copy and are not broken.
Artwork sizes
The uploader safely resizes other dimensions and tells you when it has done so.
Wide banner
1500 × 500Headers, footers and wide after-content positions.
Landscape
1200 × 675Property pages and search-result advert cards.
Square
1080 × 1080Account areas and future app tiles.
Portrait
1080 × 1350Stored for future mobile-app placements.
Use JPG, PNG or WebP up to 4 MB. Keep logos, prices and important words inside the central 80% because some responsive positions may trim the outer edges. Add a short accessible image description for people using screen readers.
Choose where, when and how much
A campaign uses a safe snapshot of one ready advert.
- Give the campaign a private name and choose a saved advert.
- Tick only the positions you want. Each shows Admin's price per 1,000 displays.
- Choose public visitors, students and/or landlords, then tick the cities to use.
- Choose dates, a duration, or let it run until paused or its budget is used.
- Set a firm spending limit and save the plan. Nothing is charged or published while it is a draft.
Exclusive delivery means another direct advertiser cannot share the selected places and dates. Admin's exclusive multiplier applies to its display price.
Top up once, spend as adverts are shown
All amounts are real UK pounds and pence, not tokens.
Stripe securely adds to your paid balance. Student Paradise may also give you separate promotional balance, including a monthly amount. Promotional money is used first. Funding a campaign moves only its chosen budget aside; the campaign then spends from that budget when genuine displays are recorded. Searchable history shows every top-up, grant, allocation and return.
Funding and approval are separate
A saved advert or campaign is not automatically visible on the website.
- Draft
- Saved privately and editable. Nothing allocated or spent.
- Awaiting approval
- Funded and waiting for Admin review when approval is required.
- Changes requested
- Admin has explained what needs changing and unused budget has returned to your balance.
- Scheduled
- Approved and waiting for its start date.
- Live
- Eligible to appear and spend its budget when displayed.
- Paused
- Temporarily stopped; no displays are charged.
- Ended
- The final date has passed and unused budget has been returned.
Trusted advertisers move from funding to scheduled automatically. Other advertisers need Admin approval. Admin can still pause or reject unsuitable advertising.
Results
Admin controls which totals advertisers can see.
Campaigns may show impressions, clicks and click-through rate. These are aggregate totals and do not identify individual students, landlords or public visitors. Advertisers own their uploaded artwork, while Student Paradise keeps the campaign and billing records needed to operate the service.
